Compliance Check Up

This service is a high-level review of the Compliance arrangements in your business against regulatory requirements to assess whether you have a clean bill of health, need further review of specific aspects of the business or have some immediate areas needing attention. Typically, the Check Up includes:

  • Meeting with the business to gain an understanding of the services you provide to your clients and the financial products you offer
  • Comparing the business you do to the activities that you are authorised to provide
  • Identifying any gaps (or giving a clean bill of health) on your authorisations and advising and assisting in closing those gaps
  • Reviewing policies, procedures and most importantly what the business does in practice to ensure that it is in line with regulatory requirements and is reflected in your policies and procedures. This step can be undertaken for all aspects of the business or for selected activities such as e.g. suitability of advice, product selection, record keeping, regulatory reporting
  • Producing a report summarising finding and any recommendations for follow up work
  • Assisting with revising (or writing) policies and procedures that are in line with regulatory requirements and that reflect your business activities
  • Providing staff training
